Welcome to the Heart of Dairy Country

Crystal Farms provides consumers with over 500 top quality refrigerated grocery products including cheese, bagels, butter, margarine, eggs, and English muffins.

While some big national brands may sell more products than us, we don't think you'll find any with better quality than Crystal Farms. With our only plant located in Lake Mills, Wisconsin, population 4,843, we have small town values of quality and value that are evident in every item we deliver. That's why we're proud to say that Crystal Farm is From the Heart of Dairy Country.

Far and away our biggest line of product is our high quality cheese from the heart of dairy country. What makes it so special? First of all we work with many of the country's leading and award winning dairies and suppliers so we can select the finest flavors and quality. Every item is compared and taste tested against the leading National brands on an ongoing basis led by our Director of Quality, that's Julie.

Julie has a BS in Dairy Manufacturing from South Dakota State University and is a team member of the Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board's Dairy Food safety initiative. Julie is also a Wisconsin Licensed Cheese grader, was an official judge in the Wisconsin State Fair Governor's Sweepstakes in 2001 and the United States National Cheese & Butter contest in 2003. Every cheese and butter item we bring to you has been evaluated by her or her team. Based on those evaluations, we find that Crystal Farms on average beat or tied the leading national brand in taste over three quarters of the time. We think you'll agree that Crystal Farms cheese is second to none.

To maintain the highest quality we:

  1. Evaluate every vat of cheese for flavor, body and texture and choose only the best.
  2. Require a Certificate of Analysis (COA) at receipt for each vat of cheese. This COA provides us with the chemical composition and microbiological information needed to provide you, our consumer, the most consistent and safe product possible.
  3. Maintain product specifications that are sometimes stricter than the Code of Federal Regulations. These specifications help us to receive a more consistent product for you, our consumer.
  4. Perform on-line audits to assure accurate weights, label correctness, oxygen removal, proper seals, and functioning zippers on zip products.
  5. Track and resolve all consumer issues.
