Taco Pizza PieOn A Budget A fun entree, for less than $1.50 per serving, that twists together both of your families favorites; taco and pizza. Ingredients 6 servings 1 pound lean ground beef 1 cup salsa 1 tablespoon chili powder ½ teaspoon ground cumin ¼ teaspoon salt 2 cups all purpose baking mix ½ cup boiling water ½ cup Crystal Farms® Finely Shredded Mexican Taco Cheese* ½ cup finely chopped lettuce ½ cup crushed nacho-flavored tortilla chips
Cooking DirectionsHeat oven to 375° F. Spray large cookie sheet with nonstick cooking spray; set aside. Brown ground beef in 10-inch nonstick skillet over medium heat. Drain grease. Reduce heat to low. Stir in salsa, chili powder, cumin and salt. Cook until heated through. Meanwhile, stir together baking mix and ¼ cup cheese in medium bowl. Stir in boiling water, stirring until dough forms. Sprinkle baking mix onto cutting board. Knead dough about 5 times or until smooth. Roll dough into 14-inch round. Place on prepared cookie sheet. Spoon beef mixture on crust to within 2-inches of edge. Fold edges of dough over beef. Bake 22 to 25 minutes or until crust is golden brown. Remove from oven. Top with remaining ¼ cup cheese, lettuce and tortilla chips. |
